The Loving Cup in Truro

16/03/2007

The Loving Cup came to Cornwall today after a big campaign against it. Truro City Council had voted in favour of welcoming the English cup, even though there was a big complaint against it from many people. There was a big group of Cornish supporters dressed in their national coloursoutside the town hall when the organiser, Bruno Peek, arrived. The protest was quiet and went without any trouble. The cup was received by the city mayor and an ambassador from the Cornish group spoke to Bruno Peek so that he may understand the reason for the disquiet.
